The FCC has banned foreign-made routers from import into the US. Which, in case you couldn't guess, is pretty much all of them. There won't be an immediate router drought — previously cleared products can keep coming in — but companies will need to secure approval for new releases and work towards US manufacturing. It's all in the name of national security, which makes it just a touch odd that only consumer routers are restricted — there are no security concerns around enterprise, apparently.
