**Mic’d up. **AI music felt like it might be a passing novelty that would quickly fade. It hasn’t. But there’s a fine line between democratization and extraction.
**Protecting artists.** In a world where anyone can create a chart-topper from a text prompt, the artists who actually inspired the training data deserve recognition and protection. Expect rightsholder economics to become a key issue over the next 12 months as AI song streams — and revenue — continue to soar.
