Dear Ben,
We are beyond grateful for the support you've shown us this past year since losing our federal funding: a $5 million hit over two years, and an ongoing loss of about 12% of our budget. That's no small thing. We asked folks to step forward and donate to help close that gap, and so many of you did. Thanks to that support, we were able to minimize cuts to the programs you see and hear on our air, and we are strategically shepherding our resources for the future.
We still have real work ahead of us, especially now that the Corporation for Public Broadcasting no longer exists. But we are in a far stronger position than we could have hoped for a year ago, thanks to folks like you.
