Dear Ben,
It has been almost a year since Congress eliminated federal funding for public broadcasting. Since then, thousands of Mainers have stepped up to support Maine Public locally, and we are grateful for that. But to ensure that Maine Public can continue to provide all the programming and reporting you depend on, and to protect the future of stations nationwide, federal funding must be restored.
Congress is making decisions now about next fiscal year, and lawmakers in both parties have expressed concern about their local stations. We need your help to turn that concern into action.
